This is the story of the century. When the town was settled in 1905, many difficulties were faced. A lot of bushes had to be removed. It was difficult. They also caught fire. But the people did not give up. Today Tisdale is a beautiful town with all the development.

A hundred-year-old railway line also passes through here. When the train passes through the fields it presents a wonderful scene. Whenever I cross the railway line, I think of a railway track built a hundred years ago without science and technology. This railway line was built by the Chinese and Canadians together. The People of China sacrificed and lost their lives, they also faced immigration problems. Their historic achievements will always be remembered.

There are canola fields spread over millions of hectares. A lot of honey is also produced. That is why Tisdale is known as the land of ’Rape and Honey.’

Saskatchewan's motto is the ‘Land of the Living Skies’. I found out how it happened. I was happy to read that the woman who won this slogan, Becky Pritchard, is from my town. As everyone knows the Land of the Living Skies has been Saskatchewan's slogan on its license plates since December 1997. Becky Pritchard of Tisdale submitted the grand prize-winning entry in a license plate. The contest was organized by Tourism Saskatchewan and SGI.

There is also a Newcomer Center to guide new immigrants. There are many parks, a big hospital, a children's school, a college, and a museum. There are two big hotels, shopping malls, and Canada's traditional Tim Horton. I remember in 2023 when Tim Horton opened in Lahore, Pakistan. There were also reports that Tim Hortons broke the world record for the highest one-day sales in its 60-year history.

The Mackay Tower is the tallest building in Tisdale. It can be seen from a far distance. It has sixty units. It was built in 1977. It was built for senior citizens. Now this condition has been removed due to increasing housing problems. There is also a small airport that provides Airbus facilities to the citizens. Small planes also fly from here.

Tisdale is a good place to visit. There are also various lakes and canals where people go fishing. Greenery is everywhere. The climate is very clean. There is a normal temperature in the summer like 20 to 30 degrees Celsius. Due to lots of snow in the winter, the temperature is going to be more than minus 50 degrees Celsius.

People prefer to stay at home in winter. So you won't see many people on the roads and streets. During the long snowfall, they remain isolated in their homes and then get used to it. They just go out in the market or for a job. In summer, people decorate their gardens beautifully, which is good to see. I noticed that everyone smiles when making eye contact. I think this Town will become a city soon due to rapid development and growing population. If you want to visit Tisdale, you will be impressed by its beauty. Newcomers are always warmly welcome.
