Canada

Panoramic view of Downtown Ottawa and the Parliament of Canada. Taken from Nepean Point

Recently, we had an opportunity to visit the capital of Canada. Ottawa is a beautiful city. We live 8 hours away from the capital. So, I can say that we spent 2 days on the road, but we had a fantastic 1 day in Ottawa.

We walked through the lovely downtown, enjoying the beauty of modern and historical buildings, which nicely complement each other. We visited the most famous place among tourists - The Parliament Hill. Canada’s Federal Government is located there. I can say without doubt that I fell in love with this city. It is so bright and alive. And I plan to visit it a lot of times in the future.

We made many stops on the way. The kids liked the most that we stopped by some rivers and lakes, and they could swim a little because it was so hot outside. So, we tried to make our trip nice and interesting for children.

And it was funny, when we stopped by Tim Hortons or McDonald's, every time my son said that he was so starved, and we needed to buy something for him. I should say that we had a lot of food and snacks in the car.
