A driver’s license is one of the fundamental documents that prove your identity. On January 22, 2022 I went to a drive test office, and after a long line up I talked to the receptionists and they checked my documents. They told me to give them two photo identity documents from Canada. I had 40 years of driving experience in my native country. The rules of the road are the same as those in Canada. You must take a driving course for one month, complete a blood exam, and pass the knowledge and road tests to get the license. Finally, I waited for more than three and a half months to get my PR card and health card. I went to the drive test office again, and they gave me the knowledge test and I received my G1 license. After 2 months I passed G2 test, but for full G license test they failed me four times. Frankly that period was depressing. Finally, I managed to get my full G driving license in January 2023.
