Travel (Outside of Canada)

View of Museum of Future, Dubai

I took a vacation last March. I selected Dubai for my vacation place. Dubai’s peak tourist season is from November to March when the weather is mild and pleasant, like +15 degree. From this time only the public has access to Miracle Garden, which is also known as the world’s most beautiful garden, which contains more than 50 million flowers and has achieved three Guinness World Records. Furthermore, Dubai has lot of attractions like Desert safari, Dubai Frame (where we can see the old Dubai from one side and new Dubai from other side), Dubai Mall – Asia’s largest mall, Burg Khalifa (world’s largest building), Robotic Museum, Dubai aquarium etc.

I would recommend avoiding visiting during the scorching summer months (June to August) when temperatures can reach extremely high levels like +50 to 55 degrees Celsius and high humidity which leads to sunburn or fatigue.

Dubai has always been for me a second home; my husband is working in Dubai as Finance officer, and I worked there for 5 years as a payroll officer. We both worked in a government sector before we migrated to Canada. The major attraction of the city is safety and security for everyone especially women and children. The laws are always in favor to women which makes women more powerful in Dubai.

Regarding the dining options, I am a kind of foodie person so am always attracted to the wide variety of food options, from traditional Emirati cuisine to international fare. I love the local dishes like shawarma, falafel, and various Arabic sweets. I can never be bored in Dubai.
