Driving

Driving in Canada is one of the most important experiences for every new Canadian. The government has made all traffic rules intelligently easy to be implemented in our country. Despite the fact that Canada has diverse cultures with people from around the world, the traffic rules are easy to understand for everyone and are safe to follow for both drivers and pedestrians.

In terms of traffic rules, Canada has a set of regulations that ensure safe driving practices. Speed limits vary across provinces and territories, but are generally set at 50 km/h in urban areas and 100 km/h on highways. It is crucial to stay in these limits as well as abide by other rules, such as wearing seat belts at all times and not using mobile phones while driving.

The government of Canada has strict laws against impaired driving due to alcohol or drugs. Novice drivers and drivers who are aged 21 years or under must maintain zero blood alcohol level, while a fully licensed driver should not exceed 0.08 percent alcohol in their blood. Additionally, seat belt usage is mandatory for all passengers in a vehicle.

Based upon my experience as an Uber driver, it is vital to know that Canada has different weather conditions throughout the year. From snowy winters to hot summers, drivers must be prepared for changing road conditions. Winter driving can be particularly challenging due to heavy snowfall and icy roads. It is beneficial to equip vehicles with winter tires and carry emergency supplies, such as blankets, food and water during long trips.

In conclusion, driving in Canada provides an exciting way to discover the country's landscapes. If following traffic rules and safety measures correctly, drivers will be able to enjoy the beauty of Canada while ensuring a safe journey for themselves and others on the road.
