Travel (Outside of Canada)

Makka & Madina, KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

I have travelled to many countries around the world, among which my trip to Saudi Arabia in 2019 is the most interesting journey that I have ever taken in my entire life.

Firstly, the facilities are the main contributing factor to my joyful experience in this journey. Hotels, restaurants, heating and cooling systems, transportation, and low-priced quality food are available in almost every corner of the nation. Compared with other developed countries, visitors only have to pay a small amount for their travel costs. Low-model vehicles are not being used there. Simply put, the lifestyle is comfortable and accessible for everyone in spite of their social markers.

Furthermore, I was greatly impressed by the generosity and hospitality of the local people living there. To a great extent, it’s almost like a common culture in the country. Particularly, in Makkah and Madina (Haramain e Sharifain), tables of food, fragrant hot drinks, Zamzam water which is pure spring water are all available for free. Moreover, the most delightful thing is that hosts and guests (visitors) sit at the same table to have meals. Genuine, friendly and well-behaved, the people have inherited this admirable tradition centuries back from their ancestors.

Last but not least, the security ruling in the country is another remarkable phenomenon that I observed in this trip. People can go for a walk without any concerns in respect to their safety at any time of the day. For example, in the holy city of Makkah, I went out at 2am. Despite the fact that streets were full of visitors, yet all the faces were peaceful. Additionally, the holy mosque was about to be filled with prayers, including women. That’s why the country is known for a low crime rate.

To conclude, my trip to Saudi Arabia created fascinating and unforgettable memories that are precious for my lifetime. Citizens and visitors enjoy quality food, modern lifestyle, and a valuable welcoming tradition.
