Canada

Canada is a large country with 10 provinces and 3 territories.

Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, PEI, Quebec and Saskatchewan are the participating provinces. The Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon make up the three Territories.

The National Capital of Canada is Ottawa, located on Ottawa River, in Ontario. Other significant cities in Canada include Saskatoon and Regina, both of which are in the province of Saskatchewan.

When we talk about the three territories, Yukon, Yellowknife and Iqaluit, they have a special participation inside of Canada’s territories. Their natural environment and cultural activities attract thousands of tourists during the seasons of the year. These cities all support Canada's growth economically and culturally.

You can visit art galleries, museums, parks, and theaters if you travel to Ottawa. There are 50 galleries and theatres around the city. On the Rideau Canal, you can practice kayaking, and you can even navigate hedge mazes there.

In Saskatoon, you may experience one of the only three functioning atmospheric theaters in Canada and you can also ride bikes or run along the river. Regina is a wonderful choice for exercising and taking in the outdoors because it has more than 100 natural parks. The casino, galleries, and museums in the downtown area give the area a cosmopolitan feel. Regina and Saskatoon are bordered by mountains which result in extreme weather. The people there experience hot summers and cold winters.

Yukon has a rich history of gold mining, mountains, and indigenous culture. Visit Yellowknife to enjoy nature; there, you can watch northern lights, caribou, and then you can try the traditional bannock bread.

The fauna is fantastic in Iqaluit, which is also recognised for its rich culture, which includes carvings, hunting, and traditional cuisine (country food). All of these cities have their value for the wonderful wildlife, culture, amazing food and view but not all of them are perfect and you may not visit them for a number of reasons.

Iqaluit is known for blizzards and barren land and the scary wildlife. The sun is in the sky for a full 24 hours in the summer and, during the winter, you are in darkness for 24 hours in Yukon and Yellowknife. Summer and winter there would be difficult!!!!

Ottawa is the fourth big city in Canada and has a varied range in temperatures with the record being 100 Fahrenheit or 38 Celsius. It is hot in the summer. Deciding when to travel to these cities is important. Despite the extreme cold and hot weather, I would like to visit Ottawa. The city seems like a great place to live, with plenty of green spaces for recreational activities, many restaurants, night life. The city has museums, galleries, shopping, historic buildings and the amazing hedge mazes to explore. Ottawa is on my list of places to visit and if one day my daughter chooses to live and practice medicine there, for sure the entire family will accompany her.
