Volleyball ball in the hand of a man on the beach

My name is Rogerio, I was born in Brazil and in my childhood and adolescence I always loved sports. Like every Brazilian child in the 80s, the sport we played the most was soccer.

From a very early age I started to like volleyball. It was watching the first golden generation of the Brazilian volleyball team that was Olympic champion in Barcelona in 1992 that the interest in this sport grew, that generation of players taught us to like Volleyball.

My great achievements in sport came from volleyball, we were provincial champions in the club league for 6 years in the roll playing for a club called AABB. I defended the province team for 3 years. In 1995 we were Brazilian champions under 19 of the first volleyball division, which is my greatest achievement in the sport. I even played for another 2 years on the university team I was studying for, but problems with successive injuries and the difficulty of reconciling with work made me not continue playing.

Today we are living in Kingston. After more than 20 years without practically playing volleyball after we moved here, I started playing again and changed my sedentary lifestyle. Together with my wife, I managed to lose almost 20kg. I go to the gym 5 times a week and participate in the local volleyball league and the 40+ soccer league.
