Appreciating your health means thinking about your future. We all eat to get energy for life. Understanding what to eat, when and how makes a huge impact on our body and our health.

Many researches show that people shouldn’t eat food just because they crave it. During the times when we didn’t know when our next meals would come, the human body may have evolved the need for a food storage mechanism. Today, we need to override our instincts by using the executive function of the brain to make smart choices about when to eat, and that means eating more in the morning and less later on. It has been scientifically proven that the later we eat, the higher the risk it is for high blood sugar. Undoubtedly, high blood sugar can lead to chronic diseases.

Study also indicates that our biggest enemies are simple carbohydrates and sugar. It is beneficial to eat more complex carbohydrates, good fats and proteins. A wise thing to do is to choose balanced meals that have a wide variety of food groups. As suggested by many scientists, the best way to keep your body in tune is to eat consistently from day to day and eat with circadian rhythm. In some cases, people may not label their meals because they can easily have lunch or dinner for the day without breakfast. However, it is advised to make your breakfast fully loaded with calories and not to skip your breakfast. Last but not least, we ought to eat organic food whenever possible and fast from time to time in order to keep our digestive system function well.

To conclude, it is pertinent to say that our life depends on our habits of eating. By eating healthy ingredients at the right times, we can avoid many potential issues with our health and provide the mechanism that will bring our overall well-being to a higher level.
