My name is Nayana. I came to Canada in 2019 as a permanent resident with my family. That was my first international travel. At that time, I faced a lot of problems, especially I missed my home and friends, but the main problem was language. At that time, I was not confident enough to talk in English. That made my life more complicated. I was afraid to do things here that I did so easily in my native country, so my husband did everything for me. I can remember one situation now. I got a call from the bank to check my identity and I started shaking because that was my first experience of talking with someone in English here in Canada by myself. After that incident, I decided to learn English and started searching. At last, I found the right place.

I joined a class in LINC Home Study Program, and that was the turning point in my life. I started speaking without fear. My teacher helped me a lot. She helped me by giving me confidence, speaking a lot with me, and helping me in preparing for job interviews. We did many practice interviews so when I went for the first real interview for the job I wanted, it was not hard for me. So, after a few months in Canada, I got my first job in the field I wanted!

The main requirement in this job was the ability to interact with people and because of this, I didn't expect that I will get this job, but I got it! I want to thank LINC Home Study for helping me in making my dreams come true.
