"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams" Eleanor Roosevelt.

Today I bring this quotation because it says everything you need to know on how to make your dreams come true. When we put our energy into something we want and are looking for, we can start a race between Reality vs Mind. That’s how we start to visualize, think and express in everything we do, the materialization of that dream we have in mind.

Today I want to share with you how My Dream House looks like. But first you need to know that when I started to imagine it, I didn´t have a house yet. I was always imagining a relaxed space for everyone including visitors and just having a nice flow in the air like this: a family room with a chimney in Boho style - all wood and white and a surround sound stereo in the house to make it a nice peaceful space. A big library along the wall on one side and family pictures on the other. No furniture, just a couple of puffs and open space for playing with my daughter too and a bigger window with a view of the backyard.

I like houses with open spaces. I imagine an open space kitchen with an island in the middle to share with the visitor and the family when I am cooking in a vintage style matching with the family room. For the living room for visitors, I want to keep my style at home right now in wood and the red and black combination, which gives the room a nice and elegant style rustic but modern at the same time. These differences between the rooms give us more options to choose depending on the mood of the day or the visitor we have.

For the floors, I would like to make all of them in oak wood and just keep the bathroom and the kitchen in ceramic with a color close to the Boho style in the kitchen, and a medium size pantry in the corner. About the bedrooms, well, all of us have different tastes so all the rooms will be different according to our preferences (mom, dad, and daughter). I am pretty sure my daughter wants a princess’ castle in her room.

For my room, I prefer a taupe cream rose and brown color for the walls, with white furniture, a big bay window with a seat and a zigzag wood stand in the corner, a round carpet in the middle of the bed and the wall in matching colors around and two chairs for sharing time with my husband. No TV and some nice pictures in oil and photos of us in our best moments together.

Back at home the houses just have 2 bathrooms and for big families that actually does not work at all. I am considering having 3 bathrooms and a half. One bathroom for each bedroom and a spare room and a half for visitors. That is perfect for everyone - not having to wait at all and enjoying your own space according to your necessities.

Where I am from the houses do not have any basements but this is definitely something I want to have in my dream house. For this space, I would like to have a big space as a playroom (so in winter we don´t need to stress about the cold weather). I would like to make a small laundry with the machines (washer and dryer). A little sink for cleaning staff and one shelf for the cleaning supplies with an extra space like a pantry for food.

I always think that gardens are the secret to privacy in the house. That is why I would like a front garden with trees and a medium-long walkway that guides you to our door. The front garden needs to have a nice aspect but modern and full energy so I want to have there some stones for representing the 7 chakras and a fountain to make a nice relaxing sound. The backyard for me looks like a back garden so we can have a gazebo with nice furniture and a space like a garden with a small yard for playing and having a nice time together.

That is how my dream house looks like. When I started to dream of my house a few years ago it was just a dream, but right now I have one that almost looks like this one. We just miss the gardens so I am still dreaming because “No dream is too big”. How about you? Have you started to dream about your dream house?
