Housing

I don't want a gorgeous estate like a three-million-dollar home built on the lakeshore in Oakville.

I even don't have a clear vision of a dream house because l appreciate what l own right now but if l could have an opportunity in the future, l would live in a house by the ocean and have a big front porch to sit and chill watching weaves coming and going all day long or l go get a dip in the ocean whenever l want to.

It's neither too big nor too small for my husband and me, with a few guest rooms for my kids and maybe my grandkids if l ever become a grandma!

I like to have an open concept floor plan, in the kitchen with simple yet elegant style cupboards with a huge island to cook and gather around. Ideally, overlooking the living area.

There should be a fireplace in the living room and a comfortable huge sectional couch to watch movies. Big windows to see the ocean and green house plants all over the house because l love plants but l have no more space to grow them in my house since my house is tiny!

One more thing that l want to add is a decent size workshop or a garage to have professional tools to do woodwork and DIY projects. My husband and l have spent years renovating our house in the past and done so many projects around the house, so we want to develop our skills further. Maybe, l could do a couple of big paintings as well if l have a creative zone of my own and some free time.

After writing about my dream house, wow, I realized that I'm talking about my retirement in the future and l hope it will be a dream come true!
