I want to share my journey in Canada and how I got a job. When I came here, my English was so bad. After some months, I got to know about LINC Home Study Online ESL classes. I got information about ESL classes from my nearby library, and I started in April 2020.

I started my first job in a restaurant as a Line Cook. So, all customers were speaking English. In that way also I improved my English. But I mostly learned from LHS classes. My second job was at Amazon where I worked for 1 month. Then, I got a job in an electronic company. After 6 months of hiring, they promoted me to Team Leader. They just looked at how I catch all the assembles and how I help everybody. Based on that, they promoted me.

I worked as a Team Lead for 2 years. Then, the company posted an Office Administrative job and I applied for it, but I wasn’t confident. One day before my interview, I was so nervous, but I tried my best to prepare for the interview. My husband told me they just wanted to see my confidence and what I know about the job description. On my interview day, the company owner took my interview. He asked me about my experience. I was nervous but still, I told what I know and what parts I don’t know. Then, from my body language he understood that I was nervous. Then the topic was changed, and he talked about the company and that made me comfortable. After that, I was about the job description and my role. The interview was for 45 minutes. I gave honest answers. And finally, I got the job!!

My instructor helped me a lot to improve my English but still my English is not good, and I am working on it. I just want to tell you all that don’t give up, try your best, you will get success, but it takes some time. You will find your destination.
