Canada

Kelowna, British Columbia/Canada - July 24, 2020: Restaurant Patios lining the famous Bernard Avenue

I remember the first trip I took with my family after moving to BC. We had so much fun. We lived in Burns Lake and decided to take our first trip to Kelowna. We went swimming, played minigolf, played games at the arcade, and went to the beach. The kids had lots of fun on the bouncy water castle and making sandcastles. At the beach, there was a food truck that sold Vietnamese food. It was so delicious. If you ever go to Kelowna, you have to try all the food trucks!

In downtown Kelowna, we walked around the Gryo Beach area and took lots of photos. We went down there during the Canada Day festivities. We saw a lot of cool stuff. There was a taekwondo school there doing a demonstration. There was also a band playing and lots of activities for the kids to do. We came across some small chicks and the kids loved playing with them. They also really enjoyed taking pictures with Spiderman, Batman and Captain America.

We also visited The Kangaroo Zoo and saw some kangaroos as well as other exotic animals. I remember it being really hot that day. The only thing we missed out on was cherry picking because it had been a cold year, so the cherries came in late. If you end up going to Kelowna for a trip, I highly recommend visiting the zoo and the beach and trying the food there!
