photo of Wang Yibo, Chinese Actor and Singer

My wife is 30 years old and has 3 kids but has a rather childish hobby that is chasing idols like teenage girls. Her idol is Yibo, a young Chinese singer and actress. He became a supper star after the movie "Magic Ancestor", which was produced in the summer of 2017. After the movie, my wife loved the main couple very much. She said that looking at Yibo reminded her of her first love.

My wife has watched it 3-4 times and always invites me to watch it with her. I refused but due to the Covid 19 pandemic, I had a lot of free time, so I am also curious to know how that movie can make my wife watch it over and over again. My wife did not use to watch old movies again as she said that knowing the ending in advance, it is no longer surprising and interesting.

When I first saw the movie, I thought it was a Chinese martial arts film, about fighting between groups to get to the top, brotherhood, adventure..., but I was so surprised that this movie was about love between two young men. I really have to see my wife in a different vision. Seeing my wife stop crying and then laugh again, full of praise for good movies, attractive content, and good acting at the same time.

Watching the movie was not enough, and my wife also found all the songs, movies, and game shows that he participated in to follow. She also goes to fan groups to see cut scenes and behind-the-scene clips. She believes that they fell in love from the movie to real life. It has become my wife's hobby.

She doesn't know a thing about dancing but now just watching street dance shows she will comment like an expert because Yibo is the new judge on the Chinese street dance show season 4. Once when I went to a Chinese market, my wife asked me to drink this water with sparkling eyes. I asked her if Yibo was the representative of this product. She replied that she thought it was delicious in his advertisement, so she wanted to try it. Good thing we don't live in China; otherwise, we would go bankrupt.

She said that she considers giving up, but her daughter still has a chance. She will wait until my daughter turns 18 so she can marry Yibo, which is a bit far fetched, but she said she will visit her at least once a year. My child has also become a tool for her mother to pursue her idol. I know my wife is simply looking for joy in her busy life, loving someone, and admiring someone's talent, as long as she's happy. This one just for fun about my wife's idol and I love her like her love, Yibo.
