Bios

My name is Cristhian. I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 1974. My father is Rafael and my mother is Julia. I have an older brother, Rafael, and a younger sister, Laura.

I attended Cardenal Sancha School for elementary and high school education. During my school years,I played basketball and volley-ball and participated in drama acting as well. Although I love all sports, my passion was baseball.

After graduating from high school, I enrolled in Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena for a 4-year business program. My Family ran a grocery business in Dominican Republic, so since an early age I worked in family business and kept doing it. Once I graduated from my business program, at the same time I was part of the board of UNASE, an independent grocery association in D.R. since 2006 to 2012, being the chairman for the period of 2010-2012.

The love of my live life is Frida. I met her in 1999 and married her in 2003. We have 3 daughters: Elizabeth Marie, Natali Marie, and Lia Marie. In 2014, and after several years of consideration, my wife and I decided to immigrate to Canada with the purpose of raising our kids in a first-world country and providing them better opportunities.

We arrived in Canada in July, of 2015. At the beginning it was not easy to adapt to our new life in a new country, but honestly it has worked out very well. Currently I work as project manager at a company in Komoka.
