Driving

Close up hand of woman holding smartphone and take photo of car accident

I had a car accident last September. It was a hit and run and this was my first accident in Canada. It was raining when it happened. I just finished a meeting and was driving my car toward my house as my son was waiting for me for lunch. A car which was on my right side was suddenly changing the lane and hit my passenger’s door making a big noise. I couldn’t do anything as it occurred all of a sudden. I ended up pulling over my car just under a traffic light and the car stopped just on the stop line. It was a big intersection exiting from the highway. I was out of my car and checked the damage to the door fearfully and I confirmed a big dent. I saw the driver who also got out of his car and checked the damage as well. We had a little distance as it was the way from the highway. I saw his face and his car. I noticed that the car didn’t have a number plate. I got in my car to take my purse and stuff which I could take a memo and pictures. I took all my things and got out of my car. The car was already gone. I was so shocked and I didn’t know what I should do. I was very surprised as the man fled from the scene. I just stood there without anything opening my mouth. I really regret that I didn’t talk to him first. Of course, I set up a dash camera after this accident.
