Environmentalism

Vietnam is a very beautiful country with the length of the sea more than 3200km.The area of tropical mountainous forests is equivalent to 2/3 of the territory with very diverse ecosystems. Many landmarks such as Ha Long Bay, Hue Monuments Complex , Hoi An ancient town, My Son Sanctuary, the relic center of Thang Long Citadel and Ho Dynasty Citadel are cultural heritages. Trang An scenic complex is the only mixed heritage in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Due to pollution reasons and recent global warming, the mountains are eroded, causing floods to destroy crops in the plains. Due to hot weather, forest fires have often occurred.

The government does not make efforts to manage and improve the environment more effectively. The traffic volume in big cities seriously pollutes the environment. Instead of planting trees to clean the air, the construction contractors focus only on building houses for sale, overlooking urban greenery.

Recently, young people have started to initiate the movement for a green environment such as planting trees, using materials from wood and bamboo instead of plastic materials, as well as picking up trash on the street on the weekend. In Vietnam due to the polluted air, my family and I often feel sick . We feel tired, have headaches and poor digestion.

The Canadian government is very focused on protecting the environment. The government always improves the environment, giving priority to planting trees in new cities, so even in big cities like Toronto, in central areas, there are large flower gardens with lots of trees. The garbage is sorted for recycling, although I always limit my use of plastic bags. protect the ecological environment for animals, in addition to paying attention that the garbage is always cleaned, people are also consciously disposing of garbage in the trash. I also want to plant more fruit trees such as pear, apple and cherry trees. In addition, I encourage my children to grow flowers in the garden because I hope that they will conscientiously preserve the environment from a young age.

I find Canadian's sense of environmental preservation very admirable and should be promoted. I realize that my family's health has been improved since we came to Canada and I hope to spread the awareness of environmental protection to Vietnamese people.
