In Canada volunteering is a very important part of people lives, but in many countries volunteering is just an idea on paper. We always read about the importance of volunteering, and how it can benefit communities, but we still don’t meet any volunteers there. That makes me sad because I believe that everybody likes to use his power, energy and time to do useful things for others, especially the people in need of help or support. And volunteering if he has no job, even if he doesn’t earn any money he will gain experience which will benefits him in the future. When my son told me that he has to fulfill 50 volunteering hours before he graduates, I saw my dreams come true, because I believe that we should teach our children about volunteering from a young age. I couldn’t be a volunteer in the community in my country, but when my friends invite me to their houses I insist I help them in cleaning before leaving, Usually guests don’t do that but I do, and I get comfortable with that.
