Education

Successful Russian student education concept. Holding books and graduation cap over Russia flag back

"The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet." - Aristotle

I would like to compare the two education systems. In Russia ( my homeland ) and in Canada.

The educational system in Canada has a few minor differences, compare to Russian. In Russia, we have 10 grades at school, then 5 years of University. Some students may go to College after 8 years of studies if they decided not to attend University. Children start attending school at the age of 7, unlike in Canada. In comparison, Russian students study more history and literature, and Canadian students - mathematics and science.

As a newcomer, I want to continue my education in Canada and plan to take a college course in either accounting or economics to improve my skills, knowledge, and language ability.

While I was studying in Russia, my favourite subject was biology. Biology taught me to love nature and Earth.

Despite the fact that there are some minor differences in the educational system between Russia and Canada, it is undoubtedly that education is one of the most important parts of every human being's life.
