Canada

canada suitcase

I want to tell you a little about my life in Canada. First, I arrived in Canada on April 4th with 2 suitcases and a broken heart, because I left my parents, family friends and my job.

The situation in my country forced me to migrate to one of the best countries: “Canada” and I will have new goals for my future. Every start is difficult, but it is always better.

The first thing I knew about Canada was Niagara Falls. After a long journey and seeing the beauty of that place I felt a peace. Seeing the sunset and that rainbow filled me with great hope.

It was a special day and beginning of a new life for my husband, husband’s family and me.

I lived in Toronto for a year and it was a great experience, especially the multicultural surroundings and enjoying family activities in the parks, lake, etc. I visited several places and one that I love was the Aquarium.

I didn't know any English and with the help of the government I started my classes with excellent Canadian teachers. My progress is incredible for me. I did not speak any English and now I can work in a supermarket with my English.

I visited Ottawa with my husband and his family. It is a beautiful place. I love the tranquility, nothing to do with the busy of Toronto.

Currently I live in Saskatoon, another very different but always special place. Here there are beautiful outdoor places like rivers and lakes. The lifestyle is very different from Toronto, it is more relaxed.

On weekends, we try to enjoy and do activities with my husband’s friends. In winter we ride snowmobiles or ski. Now in the summer we go to the lake or river to fish.

My next trip will be to Banff, Alberta. We will travel by car, approximately 6 hours. I am very excited. The trip is in July with my husband, husband’s family and friends. We hope that the situation of COVID -19 will be finished.

I love Canada, it is very cold, but you feel at home!!!
