This year Mother's Day was very special because of the social distancing. We couldn't go to a restaurant for a delicious brunch. Even it was hard for us to go outside to buy some beautiful flowers or yummy chocolate as gifts. However, I think it is a good chance for us to make something special to express our love by ourselves for mothers on this special day.

My son, who is five years old, loves chocolates very much. He wanted to make a chocolate cake for me on Mother's Day. So I had an opportunity to teach him how to make an easy chocolate cake and bake it. And now I'd love to share the recipe with every one of you:

CHOCOLATE CAKE

Ingredients:

  • 5 egg
  • 70g oil
  • 90g cake flour
  • 35g sugar
  • 100g whipping cream
  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 60g nuts
  • 60g milk
  • 20g butter

Method of Preparation:

Step 1: Separate the yolk and the egg white;

Step 2: Stir well of the yolk, oil, milk and cake flour;

Step 3: Beat the egg white by using an electric whisk and add the sugar(55g) gradually to the egg white, continue beating for 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 4: Add step 3 to step 2 in three portions.

Step 5: Pour step 4 into baking tray and smooth it.

Step 6: Put it in a preheated oven, 320 degrees Fahrenheit, bake for 30 minutes.

Step 7: Put it on a cooling rack.

Step 8: Whip the cream with the sugar (35g).

Step 9: Put the whipped cream on the cake and roll it up.

Step 10: Heat the chocolate and the butter to melt, add nut.

Step 11: Put step 10 around the roll cake and put it to the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
