One of the largest East African countries was Sudan till South Sudan split from it in 2011. The capital city of Sudan is Khartoum and the capital of South Sudan is Juba.

The population of Khartoum is around 5 million. A quarter of the population is refugees from neighboring countries, Eritrea, Uganda and Ethiopia.

In Khartoum most of the people use traditional shopping methods buying with cash. In Kitchener, we can use both online and traditional shopping methods paying with cash, visa or other credit cards or a bank debit card which is like cash.

In Khartoum there are fewer private vehicles and public transport such as buses, taxis, motorcycles, and rickshaws are the main forms of private transport to get from one place to another quickly.

In Khartoum, public transport is not very convenient as it takes very long, especially during the rush hours as there are too many commuters. There are also many pedestrians on the road.

When we compare the life style in Kitchener to life in Khartoum, we can say that in Kitchener it is easy, fast, and convenient, but everything has some pros and cons. For example, if we shop online, we can get easily scammed sometimes with regards to the quality of the product. On the other hand when we shop traditionally by going to a store we can see and feel the product and if we are satisfied we can buy it.
