Parenthood

twin babyboys sleeping

There is a big difference between having twins and seeing someone else have them. Let me open your eyes about my journey which is having fraternal twin girls. Because of having a huge generation of twins on both sides of our families, my husband and I have known we could have twins in the future, and we were right! It was both a shock and a good surprise, but no one is ever ready for that much work-at least in the beginning. Initially, the first three months were the most difficult in order to feed and change their diapers every two hours. Then, the nursing started to be easier and right on a schedule. After one year, they began teething which means crying, having fever and disruption the ‘schedule’ and that made the situation really hard to control. However, we have been strong enough to handle all the pressures. On the other hand, having twins is the funniest thing because firstly, they fight over everything, entertain each other, cry and sleep at the same time. Secondly, once I started going outside, people start looking at them and asking many questions like: What do you have, boys or girls? How old are they? Are they identical or fraternal? In addition to plenty of other questions. In the end though, we are thankful and happy because they fill our life with joy despite the exhaustion.
