Beautiful waterfall in Caribbean islands St. George's, Grenada

I was born on a small island called Grenada. Grenada is a beautiful island located in the West Indies, in the Caribbean Sea, and at the southern end of the Grenadine Islands chain. Grenada consists of the island of Grenada itself plus six smaller islands which are to the north of the main island. It is located northwest of Trinidad and Tobago, northeast of Venezuela, and southwest of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Grenada was discovered in 1498 by Christopher Columbus during his third voyage to the Americas. The island was already inhabited by the Carib Indians, who had migrated from the South American mainland. The capital of Grenada is St. Georges.

Grenada is known as “Spice Island” because of the many spices that can be found and the many exports of spices that it has to offer such as nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, mace, and ginger, as well as organic Grenadian chocolate, described as some of the finest in the world. It's grown and directly produced from the island’s many cocoa farms. Spice naturally plays a large part in Grenadian cuisine and even medicine. A remedy calls for mashing nutmeg and rubbing onto feet for pain relief.

While tourists are mainly interested in Grenada’s hotspots such as Grand Anse Beach, which is south of Grenada’s capital city, the back roads will bring you to hidden coves with golden beaches bare of footprints and coral reefs just offshore that are perfect for snorkeling. Grenada is especially rich in waterfalls that tumble down its volcanic slopes. The highest is Royal Mount Camel Falls. Grenada is a laid- back country full of friendly people. Everyone should visit Grenada at least once in their life. It is a very beautiful island.
