Health

Nutrition facts and ballpoint pen. Close-up.

Food is everywhere, don’t you agree?

Let me share my experiences with you.

I am the kind of person who loves to eat all the time. There’s no particular food, but I always used to eat a combo meal with dessert and soda drink for every meal. I didn’t mind if the food is good or bad for my health, as long as I was satisfied and enjoyed it. I used to go to the grocery, but I never checked the food labels. I just checked the expiration date. Until one day, I become interested in weight loss.

Step by step, I studied about the food labels, and the importance of calories, fats, vitamins, nutrients size to be taken every day. The problem of obesity in our selves, and in our society, including children, is evident.

After all the research I found about food, I changed my eating habits. I guided my family’s choices on food, rather than dictating them what to eat. I encourage my children to eat slowly and eat meals together as family, as often as possible. I involved my children in grocery shopping and preparing food.

Changing our eating habits can help us to eat healthier food, and it could be the key to a longer life.

Food is life, or it better to say that healthy food is life.
