Employment

close up of calendar on the table, planning for business meeting or travel planning concept

Last year I applied for my vacation days before the end of the year like every team member has to apply for his vacation days by seniority.

As a contract team member, I have to choose only five days for one year,in addition to that we have another five days in July. I picked my days randomly. One of the days that I picked was in April and by chance the company announced that day is a an non-production and unpaid day. I was lucky to chose that day because they would pay for me. However,  the other team members will enjoy an extra off day along the yearly vacation. When I was trying to change that day my group leader told  me  that I can't change because it's the policy of the company.

I thought I am  lucky because my company will pay for me. After one month the company announced another non-production day  after I took my vacation days.  I saw the same date that I picked as a vacation day. I was frustrated because now every team member has an extra two days off. I went to my group leader and spoke with him if there is any chance to change that day.  He again reminded me of "The policy of the company".

This year I didn't care about my vacation, My group leader asked me which days I want to pick.  I asked him to pick the days for me

Two days ago,  I got a phone call from my sister telling me her vacation days are the same days as mine, and she will bring her family to enjoy the days with my family.
